Himalaya Sanso: A rustic lodge in the hills of Syangboche stands abreast the ‘Everest Highway,’ the road to Sagarmatha, the world’s highest mountain. Nestled within the embrace of the Himalayas, towering high above surrounding clouds, it is the perfect retreat from the busy world that lies beyond the distant horizon far below. Himalaya Sanso (Lodge) stands on the hill of Syangboche at 3,850 meters above sea level, a location surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. In front of the lodge rise well-known peaks such as Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha, 8,848 m); Lhotse (8,516 m); Thamserku (6,623 m); and Ama Dablam (6,856 m).

A two-hour ascent from Namche Bazaar, a town central to the Sherpas, brings you to Syangboche, where a breathtaking view of the snow-capped Himalayas emerges before your eyes.Himalaya Sanso is a small stone lodge of just seven guest rooms, each with a view of the Himalayan mountains. In the sunroom, which is warm throughout the day, you can enjoy music and reading or yoga.As you awake to the sound of birds chirping, the Himalayas are there, shining in the morning sun, signaling a new day.
